FIRE-STOPPING FIRE COMPARTMENTATION
AIR SEALING
Identification of Fire-Stopping applications/package inclusion/ contractor remit & scope of works for the following trades ie: Fire Protection/Fire-Stopping, M&E, Drylining, Curtain Walling, Builders works, Fit-Out etc
If the Fire-Stopping is a stand-alone package, we will report on the tender programme, up to & including the FS Contractor award details
Confirmation, where possible, whether the Fire-Stopping Package will be negotiated/awarded on a schedule of rates or lump sum basis
If partly or wholly included within the M&E package, we will provide tender/ award contractor details. Same will apply for the Drylining package if there are fire rated metal stud partitions or steel framing systems (SFS)
As Fire-stopping covers such a wide spectrum of disciplines, we primarily focus on multiple service penetrations where the emphasis is on intumescent/ablative batts, fire-resistant mortar/compound/mastics
From time to time, depending on the contractual value, we will report on singular penetrations to include uPVC, MDPE and HDPE pipework requiring fire collars/wraps and also curtain walling for slab edge perimeter sealing and fire curtains
